That just sounds crazy. To think that I have a middle child?! To say we've had a lot of adjustments in our life in the last 6 months is an understatement! Our middle child is trying her best but our new life seems to get the best of her some days.
A few fun/funny things that we love about our Beezus....
-she LOVES her purple silky and rubs it with her thumb
-somedays she likes to have her people lay on the couch with her
-she loves doing everything her sister does!
-she speaks in a super high pitch when she talks to Cora. She is so very sweet to her and loves to put toys in her swing to help her "be happy"!
-a day does not go by that she hasn't applied/ingested far to much lip gloss
-she thinks she can survive on Carnation instant breakfast, peanut butter, apples and goldfish crackers with a cookie thrown in here and there
She will be 3 in about a month and I just can't beleive that! She can fill my heart and drive me to the edge of insanity all in the same hour and I wouldn't change any of it. She keeps us on our toes that's for sure!
Has it really been 10 days? We've been home from the Hospital for a week and time seems to be flying by! We are all adjusting to our new 'normal'. The birth and hospital stay was a really great experience. I missed my girls at home but knew they were in good hands. Ken stayed with me when he could and the girls had some good time visiting us. Bailey is really glad Mommy is home and Ava just wants to hold the baby! My sister has been with us and I've been spoiled by her help. So I guess we really won't figure out our new routine until I'm truly on my own (a day I'm dreading).
At our final doctor's appointment yesterday we decided to bring this fairly large baby into the world on Friday! I'm not sure if I will be able to handle the wait but I don't really have another choice do I! The girls are so excited!
In other news....Ken surprised me with a new computer for Christmas so right both are down while the data transfer happens. Also, my phone is not working at my house for some reason (only txt'ing) so if you've been trying to get ahold of me it's been kind of frustrating! I feel like I'm in the dark ages! I'm just hoping this post will work from my phone....crossing my fingers!
I've been known to buy things for my children simply so I can play with it myself! This latest purchase might fall into that category? ;) Bailey and I were picking up a few things and she spotted something with Princesses on it. When I realized it was Shrinky Dinks I knew they were going home with us! :) It was the last day of school for Ava and we had a fun afternoon watching the magic of shrinking plastic! They were completely Wow'd and it was so fun to watch!
There were no costumes allowed at Ava's school Halloween day and I could not have been happier! She was so proud of her spider hat and couldn't stop talking about the fun little party they had. Sounds like the room mom's are pretty over the top.
After school we packed up and headed to Josh and Lauren's house for a traditional Chili Dinner and trick or treating. This was the first time we really had a chance to visit and play with the cousins. The girls were in heaven! We had fun out walking the neighborhood and both Cinderellas had full bags of candy. Bailey insisted on walking every single step in her heels and that was interesting! Ava was pretty big time and ran ahead with the big cousins.
It was a fun night and so fun to have both girls totally understand and enjoy the Holiday!
The park! There are some really great parks really close to our house. We try and go a few times a week and the girls just love it! Often times we will see friends from Ava's school so that makes her super happy to have friends to run around with. And Bailey does the classic "little sister" thing of trying to keep up!
The weekend has been full and fun! I thought I'd give a sneak before out actual Halloween festivities tonight! Both girls are so in to Halloween this year and so incredibly excited about everything we've done. Tonight we will join my Brothers Family in Lake Forest to continue a Dunn family tradition of Chili and cornbread and then some neighborhood Trick or Treating.
On Saturday night we headed to our Wards party at a local park complete with dinner, a bounce house and the Trunk or Treating. Both girls are quickly making friends and that is fun to watch! Yesterday we carved pumpkins and this morning I made some delicious Pumpkin Pancakes with a Buttermilk Caramel syrup! Both girls actually ate more than I thought they would! Hahaha!
