So this may be a week late but it's still worth it....I promise! We had a very traditional 4th of July. The morning was spent at the local parade (which is actually a huge deal) for the kids and a pancake breakfast. I let Ken have the honor of pulling Ava in the wagon this year while I sat on the side lines with all the other Mommies. We decorated her wagon this year instead of her stroller and it was perfect! I think she was totally enthralled with the crowds and all of the kiddos. We left the parade totally sweating and tired. Went home to give Tonka some love and then were off to our friends house for a yummy BBQ. After all of that sun exposure we came home for a nap before we set off to the park for a picnic with friends and an amazing fireworks show. We had a huge group meet us at the park and it was sooo fun. I actually was surprised that Ava did so well for staying up so late. She seemed to just enjoy the people and all the happenings. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised...she is her Father's daughter!
I do love this holiday and we made the most of it!
These are just a few of my favs from the day! It was such a great day spent with friends and family...nothing better!
