These last couple of weeks have been really great around here! Ava has been really working hard to walk and is finally successful! It's not like most other children, and she has a long way to go but she is more mobile and so happy about it! Here are some pictures taken yesterday of her cruising. Basically, I sat at our dining room table and just clicked away until she got to me! She can go pretty far without stopping and has learned how to stop in the middle of her walk and regain her balance. And just because I can....I undressed her the other night and watched her sweet little bare naked bum walk away from me! It was so great!
For the first time in 26 months I can look around and NOT know where my kiddo is! The other night I was pulling some things for Dinner out of the fridge and all of the sudden....there she is hanging on to my legs! Such an amazing accomplishment! Her attitude has changed as well. She is more confident, happy and will sustain herself in play for a lot longer than before! Don't get me wrong...she's still 2...but it's now like this major light has been turned on in her body and she is everywhere!
And one more great thing...she is now wearing a size 3 in most shoes! So, in celebration I pulled out the shoes she is wearing (Nike Free's...I think) that were given to her by the 4 cutest boys on the face of the planet! My BFF Jenny has 4 of the most amazing boys and when Ava was born, they pulled their own money together and bought her these shoes! Thinking about it now still makes me cry! I think they were just happy that I could now have a baby to pay attention to and stop smothering them! They will always be my favorite kiddos and hopefully they still know I would do ANYTHING for them! And these shoes....that's why!!! Thank you boys....I love you and miss you!
And now I'm off to tackle her next big issue...getting that darn Bageek (pacifier) out of her mouth! Wish me luck!!!
these are so cute, i love walking! she looks so cute standing up. :) good luck with the bageek, it really is a pain to get rid of. we did tatum shortly after we moved here...it wasn't easy. :)

Amie, SHE'S WALKING. When did this happen? She is a doll. Ava looks so happy with her self and man has she grown. I think the last time we saw Ava in person was a year ago @ Thanksgiving. We have together that's sooo sad it has been that long. Give Ava a big huge & kiss from her CA cousins. We love you and miss you.
