Ava found a container of decorative sand in the hutch (that she can open)! She found it yesterday, took a handful out and put it on the ottoman 15 feet away, leaving a sandy trail the entire way. What a mess. Well, this morning she gets up with Ken, comes and gives me a kiss and then decides she should go downstairs....by herself, because she's oh so independent. I come out of our room to Ken's desk and ask where's Ava? "Oh, she's downstairs", he says....like it's no big deal that our almost 3 yr. old went downstairs with no TV on and nothing to do?! Um, she knew exactly what she was going to do!
There is sand EVERYWHERE downstairs!!! I guess she really can't wait for our trip to the beach?!
It's a good thing I have a Dyson! What a naughty little girl! ;)
PS - I'm loving the hair that is so plastered with sunscreen it sticks to her head! Gotta love summer kids!
Edited: So, I went to vacuum up the mess and realized that Ken had taken my Dyson to the new house. I ask him to bring it back, which he does because he too, is tired of walking on sand. Well, the Dyson is in less than stellar condition and basically not working. I didn't find this out until AFTER Ken left for a business trip that he won't be back from until tomorrow (ken can usually fix it, I don't fix things....I buy new ones)! Let me just tell you the sand is everywhere! It's in every room downstairs!!! the floor totally crunches when you walk on it and the only person who doesn't seem to mind it is the mess maker herself! She is very proud of her work actually! Just thought you could all feel my pain for a few more days! :) She is going to be so bummed when I take away her downstairs sandbox!
I am laughing so hard right now! That is so great :)

That is so cute! Not for you because you have to clean it up, but from here in CA it is cute.
