I've been working really hard to keep my sanity this year and found this great idea while blog hopping the other night. Basically, it's a Christmas Planner made out of a composition book and some scrapbooking supplies! And since I have PLENTY of the latter, one quick $3 trip to Staples and I was good to go. I love this idea for lots of reasons and I'm already excited to create one for next year and have this one to reflect back on. A journal of sorts!
So, you decorate the front of the book and then add some tabs down the side for whatever you need to keep track of.
Attach an envelope on the inside of the front and back cover to hold Coupons and Receipts. If just for this alone, this book will save me lots of time and money! I'm always clipping the coupons and forgetting them at home! And don't even get me started with receipts....who knows where those go!
I downloaded a free calendar online and cut it to fit the pages. I don't usually carry an organizer or calendar in my purse but this time of year is just too crazy to not have a Calendar with me. I love this!
My Tabs are for Calendar, Menu, "THE" List, Memories & To Do. I've been writing the funny things that Ava says about Christmas under Memories and will also be putting in some pictures just for fun. No, a Compostition book isn't the best "scrapbook" for Christmas but I know it will be exciting to look at this next year! Oh, and it was seriously so simple! I've been tracking my ideas, gifts, money spent, and things we want to do so much better and I've only been using this for a week. It also helps me remember what the "Elf" brought for Advent. Ava gets up and checks the Advent tree every morning...she just can't wait! So this will ensure no mistakes!
Just thought I'd share! And don't forget...it's not my idea. It was awhile back but if your interested in a free download and some further instruction then go to www.eighteen25.blogspot.com
love it!!!
